Eyüp Aydın

Eyüp Aydın (born 22 January 2003) is a German professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Süper Lig club Galatasaray.

Career

Aydın began playing football with his local club SV Mergelstetten at the age of 6, he then moved to 1. FC Heidenheim at the age of 8, and finally joined the youth academy of Bayern Munich in 2017.[2] He was promoted to Bayern Munich II at the age of 16 in 2021.[3] On 22 July 2021, he signed his first professional contract with Bayern Munich II, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2023.[4] He made 55 appearances for Bayern's reserves in the Regionalliga, scoring 4 goals.[5] On 15 September 2023, he signed with the Turkish Süper Lig club Galatasaray on a 3-year contract.[6]

International career

Born in Germany, Aydın is of Turkish descent. He is a youth international for Germany, having played up with the Germany U15s and then the Germany U16s.[7] In November 2021, he opted to play for Turkey internationally and was called up to a training camp for the Turkey U21s.[8][9]
