First Independent
First Independent is a closed pro-Russian[1] news channel in Ukraine, whose unofficial owner is pro-Russian oligarch Viktor Medvedchuk (through his associate Taras Kozak).[2]

The broadcaster was formally established on November 1, 2019, but for the first two years it did not broadcast as a full-fledged television channel and actually started operating only in February 2021, after it was bought by Medvedchuk's Novyny media holding.[3][4]
