Musical career

2022: Pa Que Hablen and Sigan Hablando

In November 2022, Fuerza Regida released a cover of the song "Chuy y Mauricio", titled "Chrysler 300", originally performed by Los Canelos de Durango but popularized by El Potro de Sinaloa.[6] The song was released to promote two new albums—which functioned as a double album—intended to be released at the end of that same year. On November 14, they published "Prefiero empedarme", the second single from the double album, which was released along with a music video uploaded to the group's official YouTube channel, which was positioned in the top 20 on YouTube Mexico. Musically and lyrically, the song talks about spite to the rhythm of a Sinaloan band played and recorded live.[7][8] At the end of November they released the song "911" together with Grupo Frontera, co-written by Horacio Palencia and Edgar Barrera. The launch was accompanied by the release of the official music video, which accumulated 2.5 million views in its first three days of release, remaining in the top 10 videos in Mexico for its first two weeks. According to the television channel Bandamax, the single consolidated Grupo Frontera as one of the new emerging acts in Mexican music and Fuerza Regida as one of the most important bands at the moment.[9] The song was positioned at number 24 on the Hot Latin Songs list.[10]

In December 2022, together with Natanael Cano, they released the hit "Ch y la Pizza", a song with references to drug trafficking in Mexico and mainly directed at "La Chapiza" - hence the name of the song - which is a way of naming to the criminal group that serves the children of Mexican drug lord El Chapo.[11][12] The bosses of Iván Archivaldo Guzmán Salazar and Ismael Zambada García are also mentioned,[13] and the theme of Santería is also touched on in a verse sung by Cano, a religion to which he explained that he was not a participant and that at the time of recording the song he had disputes with Ortíz Paz for not wanting to use the phrase.[14] The song was trending on YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Spotify. The music video accumulated 1.2 million views on its first day, being the sixth most viewed video globally on its opening day.[15] It reached positions on charts such as number 68 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 39 on the Billboard Global 200 and number 9 on Hot Latin Songs, while it was top 10 in Mexico.[16][17][18][19]
