Ghizil-Agaj Bay
Ghizil-Agaj Bay or Ghizilaghaj (Azerbaijani: Qızılağac körfəzi) is a bay located in the Caspian Sea in the southeast of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with an area of 460 km2, a length of 28 km, and a depth of 2 m.

Ghizil-Agaj State Reserve is located in this water basin, where migratory waterfowl winter.[1]
The bay was first mapped in 1720 and named after the name of the river of the same name (Ghizil-Agajchay) that flows into it.[2]
In 1935, the Gulf named in honor of Kirov S.M., and in 1991, its original name was returned to it.[3]
Fauna
Ghizil-Agaj Reserve is very important for the breeding of migratory birds. Every year, geese, ducks, cranes, grouse, garden birds, pelicans and other birds migrate here from Western Siberia, Kazakhstan, Southern Urals, and Northern Europe.[4] Boar, wolf, reed cat, badger, otter, fox, etc. are found in the reserve inhabited by mammals. There are 54 species of fish in the reservoir of the reserve.[5]
