Glaphyropteridopsis

Glaphyropteridopsis is a genus of ferns in the subfamily Thelypteridoideae, family Thelypteridaceae, order Polypodiales. It is recognized in the Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group classification of 2016 (PPG I);[1] in other approaches, it may be merged with Thelypteris.[2]

Uses

Glaphyropteridopsis erubescens is traditionally used in the production of kinema[3] and fermented cakes called marcha. It is applied to scorpion bites in Nigeria. It is mixed with rice water and drunk as a diarrhea remedy in India.[4]
