- Application code
- executable program code running a user application, distinct from library code or underlying operating system code. See Application software
- Kernel service
- Routines that provide the runtime environment to programs executing in kernel mode. Kernel extensions call kernel services. In contrast, application programs call library routines. [1]
- Lame delegation
- in domain name systems, a type of error that results when a name server is designated as the authoritative server for a domain name for which it does not have authoritative data[2][3]
- Library
- software components re-usable between multiple applications. See Library (computing)
