Gotta Kick It Up!
Gotta Kick It Up! is a 2002 Disney Channel Original Movie.[1] In the United States, it debuted on July 26, 2002. It is based on a true story of a middle school dance team. The film was directed by Ramón Menéndez.[2]

Plot
A group of Latina middle school girls enter middle school ready to Dance. Then new young executive teacher, Ms. Bartlett, is the new biology teacher at Marshal Middle School. After seeing the group of group of children not paying attention in the classrooms, it was then announced that the school was not going to have a dance team that year. The girls dance and perform for Ms. Bartlett, and then she tells them that the dance team gets cancelled. Realizing this, the girls were heartbroken, Ms. Bartlett, changes her ways and agrees to be the coach, that can be better, and try to help them even more. The girls need prove that they are ready to compete and are able to win, and bring back the dance festival. She helps a group of young Latina girls find themselves, using the chant "si, se puede" and overcome societal obstacles through their dance troupe.[3]
