Government Autonomous College, Rourkela

Government Autonomous College is a state-run co-ed undergraduate and postgraduate college located in Panposh of city Rourkela, Odisha, India. The college[1] was established in the year 1961 as Government Science College but later on it was renamed as Government Autonomous College. The institution upholds the development of majority of student's mostly coming from economically weaker sections and Scheduled Tribe. The college is Accredited by NAAC with grade ['B'] certification. Presently Dr. Mr. Bijay Behera is the Principal.[2] The college has also center for Indira Gandhi National Open University for distance learners.
