Distribution

The Kopar language is spoken in Kopar village (3.863426°S 144.525852°E / -3.863426; 144.525852 (Kopar)), Marienberg Rural LLG, East Sepik Province.[1][2] It is also spoken in the villages of Wongan (3.999326°S 144.532123°E / -3.999326; 144.532123 (Wongan)) and Singrin (3.939457°S 144.430355°E / -3.939457; 144.430355 (Singarin)).[3]:349

Status

Kopar is a moribund language.[3]:350 It has historically influenced Tayap, a language isolate.[3]:349
