List of Caribbean islands
Almost all of the Caribbean islands are in the Caribbean Sea, with only a few in inland lakes. The largest island is Cuba. Other sizable islands include Hispaniola, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, North Andros, and Trinidad. Some of the smaller islands are referred to as a rock or reef.
Islands are listed in alphabetical order by country of ownership and/or those with full independence and autonomy. Islands with coordinates can be seen on the map linked to the right.
Antigua and Barbuda

The Bahamas
The Commonwealth of the Bahamas is located in the Lucayan Archipelago, the portion of the Caribbean region in the North Atlantic Ocean rather than in or bordering the Caribbean Sea. There are 700 islands and 2,400 cays in The Bahamas. There are 30 inhabited islands. Andros Island is the largest island in the Bahamas. Large island groups include Berry Islands and Exuma. Cuba
Cuba consists of over 4,000 islands and cays surrounding the country's main island, many of which make up archipelagos. Off the south coast are two main archipelagos, Jardines de la Reina and the Canarreos Archipelago. The Sabana-Camagüey Archipelago runs along the northern coast and contains roughly 2,517 cays and islands.[12] The Colorados Archipelago is located off the north-western coast. Saint Thomas, Saint Croix, Saint John, and Water Island are the main four United States Virgin Islands. The capital, Charlotte Amalie, is on Saint Thomas.
Islands of the State of Florida
While not technically part of the Caribbean, the islands of the Florida in the United States are considered by some to be part of the greater Gulf of Mexico Region. Regions of Florida include: South Florida, Southwest Florida, and the Florida Keys.
