Isurichthys

Isurichthys is an extinct genus of prehistoric ray-finned fish,[1] belonging to the family Ariommatidae.[2]

Three species have been classified within the genus Isurichthys:[2]

  • Isurichthys breviusculus Bannikov, 2012
  • Isurichthys orientalis Woodward, 1901
  • Isurichthys macrurus (Agassiz, 1842)
  • Isurichthys roumanus Baciu & Bannikov, 2004[3]

I. orientalis was reclassified by A.F. Bannikov as Rybapina orientalis in 2018, although this appears to have not been generally accepted.[4]
