Jack McAvoy

John H. McAvoy (November 6, 1930 – May 22, 2008) was an American football and basketball coach and college athletic administrator. He served as the head football coach at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. He held that position for four seasons, from 1974 to 1977, compiling a record of 24–16–1.[1] McAvoy was also the head basketball coach at Hillsdale for one season, in 1967–68, tallying a mark of 19–8.

McAvoy died at the age of 77, May 22, 2008, at his home in Dowagiac, Michigan.[2]
