Jack Shainman Gallery
Jack Shainman Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in New York City. The gallery was founded by Jack Shainman and Claude Simard (1956—2014) in 1984 in Washington, D.C. The gallery has a focus on artists from Africa, East Asia, and North America.[1]
History
The gallery opened a 2,800 m2 (30,000 sq ft) exhibition space called The School in Kinderhook, New York in 2018.[2] In 2022, the gallery announced plans to open a 1,900 m2 (20,000 sq ft) space at 108 Leonard.[3]
