Jirud, Tehran
Jirud (Persian: جيرود, also Romanized as Jīrūd, Jīrrūd, and Jīr Rūd)[3] was a village in Rudbar-e Qasran Rural District of Rudbar-e Qasran District, Shemiranat County, Tehran province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 81 in 28 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 109 people in 34 households.[2]
After the census, the villages of Darband Sar, Darrud, Jirud, Sefidestan, Shemshak-e Bala, and Shemshak-e Pain merged to establish the city of Shemshak.[5]
