Joan Phillip

Joan Phillip is a Canadian politician from the British Columbia New Democratic Party. Phillip is an Indigenous leader and climate activist, who is the MLA for Vancouver-Mount Pleasant, elected in the 2023 provincial by-election to succeed former MLA Melanie Mark.[2] Phillip ran previously for the federal New Democrats during the 2019 and 2021 Canadian federal elections in the riding of Central Okanagan—Similkameen—Nicola.[1]
