Jondan

Jondan (Persian: جندان, also Romanized as Jondān; also known as Jow Dān and Jūdān)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Kafrud Rural District of Rudasht District, Varzaneh County, Isfahan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,790 in 516 households, when it was in Rudasht-e Sharqi Rural District of the former Bon Rud District of Isfahan County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,979 people in 619 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,998 people in 651 households.[2]

In 2021, Bon Rud District was separated from Isfahan County to become Varzaneh County and divided into two districts and four rural districts. The city of Varzaneh was designated as its capital.[4]
