Kanchrapara College

Kanchrapara College, established in 1972,[1] is the general degree college at Kanchrapara, in North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences. The college has a rich library with huge collection of printed and electronic documents. It is affiliated to University of Kalyani.[2]

History

This college was established on 13 November 1972, under the guidance of the then Member of the Legislative Assembly (India) of the area, Mr. Jagadish Chandra Das.[3] Initially it started its journey with only 32 students by affiliation of only Pre-University class.

Kanchrapara College was awarded a B+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).[4] The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).[1]
