Khormarud-e Jonubi Rural District (Persian: دهستان خرمارود جنوبی) is in Cheshmeh Saran District of Azadshahr County, Golestan province, Iran.

At the National Census of 2006, its population was 3,003 in 758 households.[3] There were 2,584 inhabitants in 661 households at the following census of 2011.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,485 in 778 households. The largest of its nine villages was Su Sara, with 1,100 people.[2]
