Kohanabad District
Kohanabad District (Persian: بخش کهن آباد) is in Aradan County, Semnan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Kohanabad.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, the region's population (as Kohanabad Rural District of the former Aradan District of Garmsar County) was 4,745 in 1,392 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,768 people in 1,221 households,[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 2,824 inhabitants in 1,081 households,[2] by which time the district had been separated from the county to establish Aradan County with two districts, four rural districts, and the city of Aradan as its capital.[3]
