Korit

Korit (Persian: كريت, also Romanized as Korīt; also known as Ebrāhīmābād-e Pā’īn and Korīt-e Pā’īn)[3] is a village in Nakhlestan Rural District of the Central District of Tabas County, South Khorasan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 3,122 in 873 households, when it was in Yazd province.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 3,446 people in 1,021 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 3,081 people in 1,001 households, by which time the county had been transferred from Yazd to South Khorasan province. It was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
