Larestan region
Larestan or Laristan (Larestani: لارستان) is a region in the South of Iran, located in the west of Hormozgan, South of Fars, and South of Bushehr province. It is mostly consisted of Persians followed by Turkics, Arabs, Balochs, and Africans. Larestanis are about 1,000,000 living in Larestan with an estimated 2,000,000 Larestanis living in Arab states of the Persian Gulf, due to extensive immigration occurring in the 19th and 20th century for better job opportunities and a better life.

Larestani people
Larestani people are also known as Khodemoonis (Larestani: خودمونی) meaning of our own, and Achomi people. They are the indigenous people of Larestan and are of a Sunni Muslim majority in major cities like Evaz, Bastak, and Khonj. While the Shia population live in major cities like Lar and Gerash. Larestanis are predominantly Persian with a minority of Turkic Qashqai people who are Shia Muslims. There are two types of Arabs in Larestan; there are Persianated Arabs (like Bani Abbasian) who immigrated to Larestan 1,000 years ago and intermixed with Persians thus adhering to Persian culture, language, and identity. And there are the Arabs of the coast (Arabic: عرب الساحل) or Huwala, who are a number of Arab tribes that inhabited the Iranian side of the Persian Gulf coast 300 years ago and adhere to Arabic culture.
Larestani or Achomi
The main language spoken in Larestan is known as Larestani or Achomi or Khodemooni. It is southwestern Iranian language and a descendant of Middle Persian. It has few Arabic loanwords and much purer than Persian. It has at least five dialects that are Lari, Bastaki, Khonji, Evazi, Gerashi.[1][2]

Larestani Culture
Larestani culture is a vibrant culture of the South of Iran and is connected to the Persian Gulf and Bandari culture. Larestani cuisine is a combination of a lot of flavors that reflect the land of Larestan, and is influcned by Indian cuisine.

- Noone Ragaag: A very thin piece of bread, usually eaten with Mahva as a snack or for breakfast
- Noone Falazin: Also known as Falazi, disc shaped bread and is eaten with egg or mahva.
