Notes

  1. Tech was blacklisted by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association amidst charges of professionalism.
  2. While officially independent, Georgia Tech claimed an SIAA title in 1915.
  3. The Yellow Jackets were led by head coach Bill Lewis through eight games, being fired after going 1–7. Defensive coordinator George O'Leary replaced Lewis as interim head coach for the remaining three games of the season.
  4. Defensive coordinator Mac McWhorter coached the bowl game after O'Leary left for the Notre Dame job.
  5. Gailey was fired before the bowl and Jon Tenuta coached the game.
  6. Due to NCAA sanctions, Georgia Tech was forced to vacate all contests won after November 24, 2009 during the 2009 season, which included the ACC Championship victory.
  7. Georgia Tech fired Collins after four games with a 1–3 (0–1) record and named Brent Key as interim coach.
