The following is a list of Lamar Cardinals basketball head coaches. There have been 12 head coaches of the Cardinals in their 72-season history.[1]

Lamar's current head coach is Alvin Brooks. He was hired as the Cardinals' head coach in April 2021,[2] replacing Tic Price, who was fired after the 2020–21 season.[3]

  1. Knight was fired in February 2014. Tic Price was named interim head coach for the remainder of the 2013–14 season.[4]
  2. After serving as interim head coach for the end of the 2013–14 season, Price was named permanent head coach in March 2014.[5]
