Liza Hanim
Haliza Hanim Abd Halim (born November 19, 1979) is a Malaysian singer, actress, songwriter and businesswoman.[3] She started his career in the Malaysian music industry at the age of 17 after winning as the runner-up in the Golden Teen Search singing competition organized by Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) in 1996. After the program ended, she was proposed to by a recording company, Suria Records.[4][5][6] She is one of the proteges of Adnan Abu Hassan and is considered one of Malaysia's best singers who dominated the music industry in the 2000s, in line with renowned vocalists such as Siti Nurhaliza, Jaclyn Victor, Dayang Nurfaizah and Misha Omar.

Throughout her career, she has won various awards among which she was crowned as the best vocal winner in the 17th Song Champion Award competition on January 12, 2003. She also won the Silver Cup Award organized by the Shanghai Music Festival for 3 consecutive days on the 24th – 26th November 2000. She also has 7 studio albums which are Epilog (1997), Di Mana Kan Ku Cari Ganti (1998), Puteri Jelmaan (1999) , Istimewa (2000), Isyarat Jiwa (2001), Ku Teruskan (2003) and Imagin (2007) . In addition to the studio album, Liza Hanim also has 5 compilation albums including Molek (1998), Srikandi (1999), Aidilfitri Di Alaf Baru (1999), Srikandi 2 (2002 ) and Rindu Selalu (2005).
Among her famous songs are "Siapa Sangka Siapa Menduga", "Andainya Aku Bersuara", "Gelisah Mimpi", "Ku Teruskan" and "Merawat Luka Terpendam".[7] In addition to dabbling in music, she also dabbled in acting. She has starred in two feature films namely KL Menjerit (2002), Laila Isabella (2003) and a theater production. In addition, she also had an offer to act in the popular horror film, Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam around 2003 but had to decline the offer due to the fact that she was pregnant at the time. She has received various other awards and nominations including Anugerah Industri Muzik, Anugerah Juara Lagu and Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian. In 2017, she was one of the contestants of Gegar Vaganza seasons 4, where she was crowned as the runner-up.[8]
Life
Liza Hanim graduated from Sunway College.
She appeared in P. Ramlee The Musical as "Saloma."[9] In 2017, she competed in the fourth season Gegar Vaganza, a reality competition aimed to seasoned singers.[10]
In 2021, she appeared at the Astro 25 Concert.[11] She was a judge at All Together Now Malaysia.[12][13]
Family
In 2003, she married Mohd Shahrin Mohd Samsudin, a former member of Malaysian boy band, Indigo.[14] The couple has five children.[15]
