Love Unlimited (Dreams Come True album)

Love Unlimited is the eighth studio album by Japanese band Dreams Come True.[1] It was released in Japan, Hong Kong and China on April 1, 1996, through Epic Records Japan, ultimately being their last album released under the label. It was entirely written by Miwa Yoshida herself, while the composition was handled by her along bandmate Masato Nakamura. Musically, Love Unlimited is a Pop and R&B album and lyrically focuses on themes of love. The slogan on the obi is, as the title suggests, "Love has no limits."

Upon its release, Love Unlimited was commercially successful within Japan, reaching the top of the Oricon Albums Chart with well over a million copies sold in the first week. Eventually it sold over two million units there, making it the 45th best selling album in Oricon history. It was certified 2x Million by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for physical shipments of two million units. It is the band's fourth best selling album according to Oricon Style.[2]

The album spawned 2 singles. The first single, "Love Love Love", became their most successful single on the Oricon Singles Chart It was the best performing single in Japan in 1995 and the tenth best selling Japanese single of all time with 2,489,000 copies sold.[3][4] The second single "Romance" was also a commercial success, topping the Oricon chart and has since been certified 2× Platinum. The track "7月7日、晴れ" was the theme songs to the movie of the same name. With this album, the concert tour "DREAMS COME TRUE CONCERT TOUR '96 LOVE UNLIMITED∞" was held.
