Martin Zeileis

Martin Zeileis (born 21 September 1964 in Vienna) is a sailor from Austria, together with Karl Haist (helmsman) and Patrick Wichmann (foredeck), Zeileis won second place during the 2012 European Soling Championship.[2][20] With this team he became the Best Europeans in this series.[21]

Sailing career

Martin Zeileis has a impressive career as Soling crew since the mid 80's of the 20th century. He holds several national Soling titles in Austria,[5] Germany[22]and United States[16][17] and celebrated many victories in European regatta's like the Omega Cup (GER),[9] Erich Hirt Pokal (GER),[23] Alpen Cup,[24] Paris Soling Trophy (FRA),[25] Trofeo Dino Schiesaro (ITA)[26] and Campionato Autonomico Madrid (ESP).[27] Besides that he competed successfully in Soling Championships in the Canada,[28] Brazil[29] and the USA.[30][31][16]

Zeileis works at Gallspach, Austria as Doctor of Medicine.[36] practicing rehabilitation at the healthcare clinic "Institut Zeileis"[36]
