Menso Folkerts

Menso Folkerts (born 22 June 1943) is a German mathematician and writer of popular science books.

Early life

He was born on June 22, 1943, in Eschwege, Germany. From 1962 to 1967 he studied classical philology, mathematics and historical auxiliary sciences at the University of Göttingen.

Career

From 1980 to 2008 he was a professor at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

He was as a contributor to the Encyclopedia Britannica.[1]

Awards

He received the Kenneth O. May Prize in 2013.[2]
