Mikayil Faye

Mikayil Ngor Faye (born 14 July 2004) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Primera Federación club Barcelona Atlètic.[2]

Career

A left-sided centre-back, Faye was a product of the Diambars FC Academy in Senegal with Bamba Dieng.[3] Also capable of playing at left-back, he was linked to Olympique de Marseille, and Stade de Reims,[4][5] and trained with Dinamo Zagreb.[6]

NK Kustošija

Faye made his debut for NK Kustošija in the Prva NL on the 8 March 2023 against HNK Orijent.[7][8] He scored his first league goal on 22 May 2023 against NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac.[9][10]

Barcelona

On 19 June 2023 he joined Barcelona Atlètic.[11]

International career

Faye reached the round of 16 of the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup with Senegal U17.[12] He was later called up by Youssouph Dabo to the Senegal national under-20 football team for CAN U20 qualifiers, although he did not feature in any matches.[13]

Personal life

Faye has reportedly been nicknamed 'The Monster'.[14]
