Miss Grand International 2024

Miss Grand International 2024 will be the 12th edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, to be held in Yangon, Myanmar,[1][2][3] on 25 October 2024,[4][5] making it the second time the country to host the Miss Grand International pageant.[5][6]

Background

Date and venue

According to Bright TV, after the release of the 4th generation of the pageant's main winner crown in June 2022, the president of the contest, Nawat Itsaragrisil, additionally stated that the host country for Miss Grand International 2025 was already decided but could not be revealed at the moment due to some contract agreement,[7][8][9] while the host country for the 2024 edition was in the process of negotiation.[7]

The mutual agreement between the 2024 host country, Myanmar, and the Miss Grand International PCL was reached in July 2022 with the memorandum of understanding between the Myanmar local organizer, Glamorous International, and the MGI PCL, signed in early 2023, at the MGI Hall, Bangkok, Thailand.[10] It was then officially announced on the grand final stage of Miss Grand International 2023 on October 25, 2023, but the pageant's further schedule has not been revealed yet.[1][3]

Selection of contestants

Of all three confirmed candidates, two were elected through the Miss Grand national pageants, including the representatives of Honduras[11] and Paraguay,[12] while the remaining candidate obtained the title as a supplemental award at another national pageant.[13]
