Mitchell Glasson (born 4 May 2006), is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Sydney FC.

Early life
Glasson was born in Liverpool, New South Wales and played youth football for Southern Districts Raiders, before joining the Sydney FC Academy. His father Steve Glasson is a former world champion and former world no. 1 in lawn bowls.[1]
Career
Youth career
During 2022 NSW NPL Season, Glasson played for Sydney FC's under-16 team, scoring in their grand final win over Sydney United 58 FC.
Glasson began the 2023 NSW NPL Season with the club's under-18 side, before being promoted to the under-20's side and then first team. He made his debut for Sydney FC's NPL team on 12 March 2023, coming off the bench and scoring in a 3–1 win over Central Coast Mariners Academy.[2] In his second appearance for the club, he scored the winning goal in a 1–0 win over Sydney United 58 FC.[3] He finished the season with four goals in 15 appearances for the side.
Senior career
On 6 July 2023, Sydney FC announced it had promoted Glasson to the senior team on a three-year contract.[4]
He made his first official appearance for Sydney FC on 13 August 2023, coming off the bench in an Australia Cup match against Central Coast Mariners. He converted a penalty in a 10-9 penalty shootout win, following a 3–3 draw in regulation time.[5]
International career
On 1 October 2022, Glasson received his first call-up to the Australia men's national under-17 soccer team for the qualifying round of the 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup.[6] He made his debut for the side in a 23–0 win over Northern Mariana Islands, scoring four goals.[7] He scored again in a 10–0 win over Cambodia two days later.[8] Glasson was also selected in the 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup squad. During the tournament, Glasson scored once and made two assists.[9]
