Sherlyn Chopra

Chopra was born in Hyderabad, India to a Punjabi Christian father and a Persian Muslim mother.[12][13] Her late father(died in 2005) was a doctor and mother, a beautician. She has a sister who works as an emcee and a younger brother settled in New Zealand as a Technician. At home, Her family spoke Hindi, English, Urdu and once were active members of Methodist Church, where Ms Chopra was so religious that at once byhearted and recited Psalms 119 verbatim in presence of congregation[14][15]She attended Stanley Girls High School, where she was a studious pupil, had no friends and came about as a geek. She passed out as her school topper. Later, she got admissioned into Saint Ann's College for Women, Secunderabad. In 1999 she was crowned "Miss Andhra" which eventually boosted her interest towards showbiz. As per Chopra, prolonged work struggle led to sexual exploitation of her in the industry ultimately she became one of the strong voices for the "Me Too" movement in India. [3][16][17]

Chopra's early acting career mostly consisted of promiscuous side roles in Bollywood films. She appeared in movies such as Time Pass, Red Swastik and Game. She made her Telugu film debut in A Film by Aravind opposite Richard Rishi.[18] Chopra was also a contestant on Bigg Boss.[19] She was evicted from the show on Day 27.[20] From 2013 on, she filmed as the lead protagonist in Kamasutra 3D, directed by Rupesh Paul, and she also appeared in the trailer which was released at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival.[21][22] After a one day shoot, Ms. Sherlyn Chopra walked out of Kamasutra 3D.[23]
