Based on the eponymous fashion doll franchise by Mattel and produced by its television division and Brightlight Pictures, the film sees the return of Miia Harris, Ceci Balagot, Nayah Damasen, Case Walker, Jy Prishkulnik and Steve Valentine as Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein, Draculaura, Deuce Gorgon, Cleo De Nile and Dracula respectively alongside with Lina Lecompte, Justin Derickson, Marci T. House, Scotch Ellis Loring, Nasiv Sall and Lilah Fitzgerald and newcomers including Ana Ortiz, Bonale Fambrini, Kyra Leroux and Salena Qureshi.[8]
Plot
Clawdeen Wolf has become a famous monster after she saved Monster High from Mr. Edward "Eddy" Hyde Sr's son, Edward "Eddy" Hyde Jr. Everyone wants to talk to her because of an EekTok video. Clawdeen arrives at the party with Frankie Stein so they could come to Draculaura's birthday party together. During the party, Clawdeen says that she wishes she wasn't popular, but Deuce Gorgon tells that's what popularity is like.
It’s the first day back and everybody is hanging out at the school’s Coffin Bean until a werecat named Toralei Stripe makes an unexpected return after studying abroad in Scaris, France for a year. Toralei doesn't approve of half-monsters or witchcraft at the school, and she shows her scars on her right arm made by the witches who attacked her in Scaris. Clawdeen stands up to Toralei, but she smirks and leaves.
Clawdeen, Draculaura and Frankie are outside the school until a group of monsters led by Demi Boovais approach Clawdeen. Demi tells Clawdeen how she is half-monster too and that Clawdeen is the reason she came to Monster High. Draculaura and Frankie were walking to class, until a new student bumps into Draculaura. The new student introduces himself as Ellis who is a vampire like Draculaura. The two end up seeming to enjoy each other’s company.
During an assembly, the school welcomes the new students. Headmistress Bloodgood announces the two candidates running for prefect which are Clawdeen and Toralei. Clawdeen says that she wants to become prefect because her mother Selena was prefect once and wants to make sure that witchcraft and half-humans will be able to stay at Monster High.
Later that night, Draculaura is practicing magic in the courtyard when Ellis sees her and tells her not to hide her magic, as he also practices witchcraft which is why he came to the school, and they bond over being the only vampires at Monster High who do witchcraft. Later, Claudeen is in her room with Frankie and tells him that she is very stressed because she has to deal with the questions that Cleo asks her about being chosen as perfect, but suddenly, some witches appear inside the room, Draculaura arrives. and Clawdeen scares away the witches with her super werewolf roar. After, in the office of Bloodgood, Clawdeen, Frankie and Draculaura inform Bloodgood about what happened in their room, but Toralei and her pack arrive and tell Bloodgood that it was surely Draculaura who attracted the witches, since she is one, but Clawdeen and her friends confront Toralei to clarify that she does not know monsters and that Draculaura is innocent, but Bloodgood announces she is putting a school wide ban on all witchcraft.
