Nguyễn Đức Anh

Nguyễn Đức Anh (born 16 May 2003) is a Vietnamese professional footballer who plays as a centre back for V.League 1 club Hà Nội and the Vietnam national under-23 team.

Club career

Born in Hanoi, Đức Anh joined the youth local team Hà Nội FC. In 2019, he caused controversy after hitting in the face of Chinese player Zheng Hankun during a youth tournament in Guangzhou. Đức Anh later apologized for his unsportsmanlike behavior and was banned from the rest of the tournament.[2] In 2023, Đức Anh was promoted to the first team of Hà Nội by coach Božidar Bandović. He made his professional debut on 4 June 2023 in Hà Nội's 1–0 V.League 1 victory against Nam Định.[3]

International career

In 2023, Đức Anh was included in the under-20 squad for the 2023 AFC U-20 Championship and started in all three group matches as his team were eliminated.[4]
