Nicole Douglas

Nicole Stephanie Douglas (born 31 July 2000) is an English professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She previously played for Arizona State University, as well as the England national under-17 football team and under-19 team.

Early life and education

Douglas was born 31 July 2000 in London.[1] She attended Arizona State University.[2]

College career

Douglas was Arizona State's all-time leading scorer after she broke a two decade record of 50 goals.[3] She finished her career at Arizona State with 60 goals.[3] In 2021, she was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and a third-team All-American, the program's first since 2002.[2][4]

Club career

In 2023, Douglas was selected 26th overall in the NWSL Draft to play for the Washington Spirit.[5]

International career

Douglas played for the England national under-17 football team for the 2016–17 season and the under-19 team for the 2018–19 season.[1]
