Novechiniscus armadilloides

Novechiniscus armadilloides is a species of terrestrial tardigrade. It is the only species of the genus Novechiniscus, which belongs to the family Echiniscidae.[1][2] The species is endemic to the United States in the state of Utah.[3]

The species was first described by Robert O. Schuster in 1975 as Parechiniscus armadilloides.[2] It was placed in its own genus Novechiniscus by Reinhardt Møbjerg Kristensen in 1987.
