Now Bahar, Golbahar

Now Bahar (Persian: نوبهار, also Romanized as Now Bahār)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Now Bahar Rural District of the Central District of Golbahar County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 1,147 in 269 households, when it was in Bizaki Rural District of the former Golbahar District of Chenaran County).[5] The following census in 2011 counted 1,343 people in 372 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,367 people in 698 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]

After the census, Golbahar District was separated from Chenaran County to establish Golbahar County. It was divided into two districts, four rural districts, and two cities, with the city of Golbahar as its capital. Now Bahar became the capital of the newly formed Now Bahar Rural District.[4]
