Nuovo Olimpo is a 2023 Italian romantic drama film by Ferzan Özpetek. It premiered at the Rome Film Festival on 22 October 2023 and will be released on Netflix on 1 November 2023.

Plot

Two men in their mid-twenties meet and fall in love in 1970s Rome, only to be separated unexpectedly. They spend the next 30 years searching for each other.[1]

Production

The film was shot entirely in Rome, specifically in Municipio III and Monte Sacro.[2][3] Principal photography began in November 2022.[1][4]

Release

The film premiered at the Rome Film Festival on 22 October 2023.[5][6] It will later be released on Netflix on 1 November.[7][8]

A teaser trailer for the film premiered during the first night of the Sanremo Music Festival 2023.[9] The official trailer was released on 19 September 2023.[10]
