Odabaşı, Nusaybin

Odabaşı (Syriac: Igunduke d-'ito, Kurdish: Gundik Şukrî) is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Nusaybin, Mardin Province in Turkey.[2] The village is populated by Assyrians and by Kurds of the Mizizex and Omerkan tribes. It had a population of 686 in 2021.[1][3][4][5]

History

The village had 800 Turoyo-speakers in the 1960s.[6]
