History
The chain was established in 2001, as a result of the Inditex Group market segmentation strategy. After starting out as an underwear brand, within a few years, they had introduced a sport collection that has ended up becoming their main line of business.
Over the years, Oysho has expanded into different countries, opening various major stores in the world’s main cities, such as Paris, London, Istanbul and Shanghai.
In 2011, they launched their online store in several countries and currently offers their collections in the vast majority of markets.
In 2022, they carried on growing their presence in the digital world and increased their commitment to sport with Oysho Training, a free fitness, yoga and running training app with sessions for all levels. The goal of the app is to offer the brand’s sporting community quality content created by international instructors.
Stores
Oysho has 457 stores worldwide, in more than 40 countries. Spain is their main market, followed by Mexico and Turkey.
The stores have an average sales floor space of 450m2.
Oysho stores are to be found in shopping centres and on high streets all over the world. Oysho has stores in Rue Rivoli in Paris, in London’s White City, on Gran Vía in Madrid, on Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona, in the Piazza San Babila in Milan, Dubai Mall in Dubai, in central Shanghai, and many other locations.
Supply
The company’s supply chain is fast and flexible. The collections have a high rotation rate, which is interpreted as one of their Inditex business successes.
Oysho products are provided based on consumer trends. A high response capacity means that products can be created to supply stores twice weekly.
Oysho has RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology so garments can be individually identified from logistics platforms to sale.

Online sales can be made on various platforms: in-store with personalised attention and assistance from store staff, mobile devices (website or app), or on the website using a desktop computer.
In-person purchases in stores can be paid for in cash. On the app or website, payment methods vary according to geographic zone.
Oysho Training App
Oysho launched Oysho Training in 2022, their first app for fitness, yoga and running training.
With more than 300 sessions for different levels, from beginner to more advanced, the app allows users to design a training plan adapted to their needs: they can choose their interests at the beginning during the onboarding process, or directly by filtering by duration and intensity.
The app uses a recommendation engine that takes training sessions the user has already completed into account in order to offer new sessions, programmes and challenges, with top-level trainers.
Oysho Training includes different types of workouts, from 10 to 45 minute sessions to programmes that include routines organised by days to help reach specific objectives.
There are also different challenges where the user competes with themselves and can share their various achievements.
Oysho Training offers the opportunity to train anywhere at any time by simply downloading sessions or programmes on mobile devices, tablets, smartwatches, or even by connecting to the TV using AirPlay or Chromecast.
With the version for smartwatches, users can record their physical activity with metrics that help to improve running performance, such as bpm, kcals, pace or distance covered.
The app is available in four languages: Spanish, English, Italian and French. It can be downloaded in nine countries: Spain, Turkey, Mexico, Italy, Portugal, France, Germany, United Kingdom and United States.
