Pataypampa District
Pataypampa District is one of the fourteen districts of the Grau Province in Peru.[1]

Geography
One of the highest peaks of the district is Qiwlla at approximately 4,800 m (15,700 ft). Other mountains include:[2]

Ethnic groups
The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (85.62%) learnt to speak in childhood, and 13.43% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3]
