Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences

Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences is located in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. Its parent trust, Pravara Medical Trust, was founded by Vithalrao Vikhe Patil in 1972 while the university was founded by Balasaheb Vikhe Patil. It was granted status by the University Grants Commission in 2003 as a Deemed University, but now with the recent changes made is to be called Deemed to be university. [1]

Admission Procedure[9]

To get admission in Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, you have to qualify NEET exam. All the seats are allotted by merit through online counselling conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority. There are two quotas in PIMS through which students can take admissions.

1. Admission Through General Quota

To get admission in the general quota, students have to score very high marks in the NEET exam but fees in this quota is very low.

2. Admission Through NRI Quota

Non-resident Indians (NRIs) are those who do not live in India. NRI students can enroll in college under the NRI quota. Generally the fees in NRI quota is very high compared to general quota but students can take admission in NRI quota with less marks compared to general quota.
