History
Sanuki-Saida Station opened on 21 May 1923 when the then Sanuki Line (讃岐線), operated by Japanese Government Railways (later becoming Japanese National Railways (JNR) was extended from Kotohira to Sanuki-Saida. With the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987, control of the station passed to JR Shikoku.[4][6]
