Seydun County

Seydun County (Persian: شهرستان صیدون) is in Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Seydun.[3]

At the 2006 census, the region's population (as the former Seydun District of Bagh-e Malek County) was 22,412 in 4,012 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 22,965 people in 4,883 households.[5] At the 2016 census, there were 22,246 in 5,197 households.[2]

Administrative divisions

The population history and structural changes of Seydun County's administrative divisions (as Seydun District of Bagh-e Malek County) over three consecutive censuses are shown in the following table. In February 2023, the district was separated from the county, elevated to the status of Seydun County, and divided into two districts with two rural districts each. The city of Seydun became the new county's capital and only city.[3]
