Shaban Rural District (Meshgin Shahr County)

Shaban Rural District (Persian: دهستان شعبان) is in Qosabeh District of Meshgin Shahr County, Ardabil province, Iran.

At the census of 2006, its population was 5,470 in 1,182 households, when the rural district was a part of the Central District.[3] There were 4,372 inhabitants in 1,129 households at the following census of 2011.[4]

In the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 3,394 in 1,111 households, by which time it had been transferred to Qosabeh District. The largest of its 38 villages was Salman Kandi, with 409 people.[2]
