Shelangerd

Shelangerd (Persian: شلنگرد)[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Bizaki Rural District of the Central District of Golbahar County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 168 in 44 households, when it was in the former Golbahar District of Chenaran County).[5] The following census in 2011 counted 186 people in 61 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 230 people in 66 households.[2]

After the census, Golbahar District was separated from Chenaran County to establish Golbahar County. It was divided into two districts, four rural districts, and two cities, with the city of Golbahar as its capital.[4]
