Sindhu Central University
Sindhu Central University is a public university located in Ladakh. It was established by the Central Universities (Amendment) Act 2021 under the patronage of Government of India.[1] It is the second university-level institutions in Ladakh.

The university offers three postgraduate level degree courses: Atmospheric & Cimate Science, Energy Technology & Policy, and Public Policy.[2]
History
In July 2021, the Union Council of Ministers approved the setting up of the new university for ₹750 crore.[3] The Bill was passed by the parliament in August[4] And the university was established under the Central Universities (Amendment) Act, 2021.[5]
However, the first meeting of the executive council was only held in May 2023.[6] The university is set to start operation in the academic year 2023–24.[6]

Sindhu Central University's campus is in Khalatse, ladakh, A village between Leh and Kargil city.[7]
Academics and programs
The university offers 3 post-graduate programs: Atmospheric & Climate Sciences (M.Tech.), Energy Technology & Policy (M.Tech.), and Public Policy (M.A).[2]
