Sky Flare

The Sky Flare is a Czech single-place paraglider, designed and produced by Sky Paragliders of Frýdlant nad Ostravicí.[1][2]

Design and development

The Flare was designed as a competition glider. The models are each named for their approximate wing area in square metres.[1][2]

The design was produced from 2001 until 2004, but is now out of production.[2]

Variants

Flare 24
Small-sized model for lighter pilots. Its 12.6 m (41.3 ft) span wing has a wing area of 23.6 m2 (254 sq ft), 77 cells and the aspect ratio is 6.4:1. The pilot weight range is 80 to 100 kg (176 to 220 lb). The glider model is AFNOR Competition and DHV CIVL certified.[1][2]
Flare 26
Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 12.9 m (42.3 ft) span wing has a wing area of 26.2 m2 (282 sq ft), 77 cells and the aspect ratio is 6.4:1. The pilot weight range is 95 to 115 kg (209 to 254 lb). The glider model is AFNOR Competition and DHV CIVL certified.[1][2]
Flare 29
Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its 13.6 m (44.6 ft) span wing has a wing area of 28.6 m2 (308 sq ft), 77 cells and the aspect ratio is 6.4:1. The pilot weight range is 110 to 130 kg (243 to 287 lb). The glider model is AFNOR Competition and DHV CIVL certified.[1][2]
