Sokołowice, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Sokołowice [sɔkɔwɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Oleśnica, within Oleśnica County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-east of Oleśnica and 32 km (20 mi) north-east of the regional capital Wrocław.

The name of the village is of Polish origin and comes from the word sokół, which means "falcon".[2]
