Surinder Films
Surinder Films (SF) is an Indian media and entertainment company headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal. It mainly produces and distributes Bengali films. The production house was created by Surinder Singh in 1970 as a film distribution company. In 1995, it was taken over by his son Nispal Singh. With the company producing more than 70 films, 20 television shows, 50 web series and short films so far, it has become one of the largest media production and entertainment houses in East India.

Apart from producing and distributing Bengali films,Surinder Films is also in the business of Television content production. The other division of the company include digital content production for OTT platforms. Very recently, Surinder Films has acquired the first Bengali OTT platform, Addatimes.
History
The production house was created by Surinder Singh in 1970 as a film distribution company. In 1995, it was taken over by his son Nispal Singh, who is responsible for the company's success in the Bengali entertainment industry as a production company. It has become one of the largest media production and entertainment houses in East India. Presently the company divisions include film production, television production, OTT production and film distribution. Over the years Surinder Films has established itself as the leading production house of Bengal which has produced numerous films, television shows, web series.
The debut production of the company was Rakhi Purnima by much celebrated director Anjan Chaudhury.Over the last few decades Surinder’s catalogue films have made a mark in the Bengali Entertainment business. Surinder’s top grossers include Paglu, Paglu 2, Mon Mane Na, Arundhuti, Jyesthoputro, Drishtikone, Ardhangini and many more.

Surinder films is one of the leading production houses in Eastern India which has produced more than 70 films which includes national award winning film Jyeshthoputro commercially successful films like Paglu, Paglu 2, Har Har Byomkesh, Jio Pagla, Jamai Badal, Ardhangini and critically acclaimed films like Chhaya O Chhobi, Drishtikone, Khaad, Borunbabur Bondhu, Kaberi Antardhan
OTT Production
In March 2023, Surinder Films acquired the OTT Platform Addatimes.
Addatimes, which was launched in 2016 is the first platform to create original web series, short films, romcoms, detective movies, thrillers and suspense dramas and comedy series for the Bengali audience. The platform has announced a new line of films and web shows which are streaming or set to stream on Addatimes. The list of films includes Koel Mallick's Mitin Mashi, Prosenjit Chatterjee starrer Kaberi Antardhan, Parambrata-Koel starrer Sagardwipe Jawker Dhan, Ankush-Oindrila's Love Marriage.
The web series which are presently streaming includes Amriter Sandhane - The Banaras Chapter starring Chandan Roy Sanyal, Sauraseni Maitra & Debasish Mondal, Tota Roychowdhury's Jawto Kando Kathmandute and Gentlemen, starring Joy Sengupta, Mir Afsar Ali, Rudranil Ghosh and Madhurima Basak in the lead.
Among the web series set for streaming is 'Nandini' which marks the OTT debut of Ritabhari Chakraborty.
Hindi Production
In 2021, Surinder Films ventured into Hindi film production with Manohar Pandey directed by national award winning director Kaushik Ganguly starring Raghubir Yadav, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Saurabh Shukla in the lead which is slated to release soon.
The company also produced its first Hindi television show Faltu which premiered on 2 November 2022 on StarPlus and digitally streams on Disney+ Hotstar. It ended on 20 August 2023.
