Tavrovo
Tavrovo (Russian: Таврово) is a rural locality (a selo) and the administrative center of Tavrovskoye Rural Settlement, Belgorodsky District, Belgorod Oblast, Russia. Population: 13,592 (2021 Census);[1] 5,192 (2010 Census).[2]

Geography
Tavrovo village is located in a picturesque location, 10 km from the district and regional center - the city of Belgorod; to the north-west is the village of Dubovoye, to the south-east - Nikolskoye village; east of the village is 5 km from the Belgorod reservoir. The area is flat; in the vicinity grow broad-leaved forests.[3]
History
1919, December - the First Cavalry Army of S. Budyonny arrived in Belgorod region and established Soviet power everywhere (in Belgorod - December 7). 1929 - Tavrovskiy village council (Soviet of People's Deputies) was formed; simultaneously a collective farm named after I. V. Stalin was organized. 1937 - MTS Tavrovskaya (Machine and Tractor Plant) was founded, on the base of which Tavrovsky repair-mechanical plant was later transformed to JSC "Taospectr". 1941, June 22 - Hitler's Germany treacherously attacked the Soviet Union, the protracted Great Patriotic War began. 1941, October 22 - Nazi German troops captured the village; months of position fighting began, and after a counterattack by the Red Army 4th Guards Rifle Division on February 9, 1943, the Germans were knocked out of the village of Tavrovo, but not for long - March 18, 1943 they recaptured the village. 1943, August 7 - during the Belgorod-Kharkiv offensive operation the village was finally liberated by the Red Army. 1951 - uniting of village councils, caused by enlargement of collective farms in Belgorod rayon. 1953 - the collective farm named after I.V. Stalin was renamed into the collective farm "On the Way of Ilyich". 1974 - Tavrovo village council was abolished, the village of Tavrovo became a part of Dubovo village council of Belgorod district (center - Dubovoye village). 1990 - A general plan of settlement and development of the town of Tavrovo was worked out. 1994- The Tavrovo Rural Council was formed again with its center in the village of Tavrovo. In 1995 the administration of Tavrovo Rural Settlement was moved from Dubovoe Village to Tavrovo Village. In 1990-ties there were crucial changes in the life of the settlement: 5 new districts were built and started to be built; the number of residents grew owing to immigrants from the republics of the former USSR. 2010 - The Municipal General Education Institution "Tavrovskaya Secondary General Education School of Belgorod District of Belgorod Region" was named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Anatoly Grigorievich Achkasov. 2014, January 20 - A. S. Shopin was appointed to the position of the Head of Administration by the decision of the Land Assembly of Tavrovskoye Rural Settlement.
